New Year New Actions

2011 is almost done. And 2012 is almost here. I have so many new things planned for Children's Melody Mentoring for in 2012. The children are the future and they need musical mentoring in their life. My goal for next year is to get as many organizations involved with Children's Melody Mentoring. I want children all over to know the power of music. My main goal for next year is to spread the different kinds of music like jazz to children's ear. There are so many genres of music. Yet,many of us stick to one. Also, I am thinking of different ways i can get more people involved with this program. If you have any ideas. I would love your comments.

This year for me

As this year comes to end I am thankful for all my blessing. This year has been rough for me and my family. I have learned so much. I would like to personally thanks my professors and classmates at St. Thomas for being supportive. All of you are angels sent from god. With additionally support of friends and family. The support has inspired me to go for me my dreams. I am going to pursue my dreams and inspire children mentor children through music. Dedication is the key in attaining my dream or anyone's dream.

One by One

Today, I had the honor of meeting with my younger sisters soccer team. These young ladies are always practicing so i introduced them to musical therpy. I had them all come to my house and listen christmas classical music such Cradle by Mozart. The girls all loved the classical pieces. Children need to be exposed to more than just Pop Music. Many songs in classical music have no words but say so much.

Thanksgiving Day

Today is thanksgiving today. I woke up bright and early to feed the homeless at a shelter in Miami, Florida. After, feeding the homeless i gave out copies of Nat King Cole's and Ella Fitzgerald's Christmas album to most of the kids at the shelter. Because i did not have any copies i played many songs for the children at the shelter. The looks of joyful faces will forever be in my mind. I feel so inspired by all those wonderful kids who were so positive.
